EQU(ALLY)TY, a series of interviews on Male Allyship | First up: Alvaro Alonso, Beierdorf

Published on September 29, 2022

Inaction is an action – this is true all around us, but one area where passivity has lasting consequences is the workplace. Luckily, countless male allies are already showing up for equality and are actively helping to implement positive change by taking a stance.

One of these allies is Alvaro Alonso at Beiersdorf. Not only was he part of our Male Advocacy panel in June, but he also agreed to be our conversation partner for the first iteration of EQU(ALLY)TY, a series of interviews on Male Allyship. Alonso has spent his professional life in companies within the sector of Consumer-Packaged Goods but has been involved with different NGOs since his days at university.

“I have always considered myself an ally for equality,” the Spaniard tells us. “Thankfully, Beiersdorf has a very strong determination to achieve full gender equality and I consider myself on the front lines of this effort.”
