Ahold Delhaize Europe and Indonesia signs the CEO Pledge
In celebration of International Women’s Day, Claude Sarrailh, CEO of Ahold Delhaize Europe & Indonesia, has reaffirmed his commitment to gender equity by signing the CEO Gender Equity Pledge. This step follows the leadership of Frans Muller, President and CEO of Ahold Delhaize, who first took the pledge in 2017 and has recently renewed it for the third time—demonstrating his ongoing dedication to fostering diverse, inclusive and fair workplaces.
Claude stated: "At Ahold Delhaize Europe & Indonesia, we believe that being open for everyone is part of true industry leadership. Creating a caring place to work that inspires growth and collaboration, where everyone is heard, valued and finds purpose in serving communities is an integral part of our business strategy and success."
And added: “I’m proud to sign the LEAD Network CEO Pledge on behalf of our European brands, to show our dedication to advancing gender equity and fostering inclusion. We are better together, and we can create a future where everyone has equitable opportunities to lead, contribute, and thrive in CPG and retail industries.”
This pledge is more than just words; it sets a clear and ambitious target—to increase the LEAD Network Gender Diversity Scorecard from 37% to 42% by 2027 in the Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) and Retail industry. The 2025 edition of the scorecard was launched on March 3rd, and we expect participants to actively support this ambitious target.
With over 50 industry leaders already committed, we invite CEOs from both LEAD Network Partner Companies and non-partner companies to join us in advancing gender equity across the industry.
