Merter Özay, Founder Partner at Ozay Law Firm, has signed the LEAD Network CEO Gender Parity Pledge demonstrating the commitment to accelerate gender parity further and to prioritize inclusion in the value chain of the European retail and consumer goods sector. 

Merter Özay says: “As a new generation law office, Özay Law Firm stands for values such as diversity, equal right to speak, women’s rise in professional life, and equality in all aspects. By signing this pledge, we will accelerate our studies, such as glass-ceiling matters, the unfortunate agenda of the country regarding violence against women, and education opportunities for girls in rural areas to make a change in our sector. We will always share our experiences with the LEAD Network community.”

The LEAD Network CEO Gender Parity Pledge aims to rally the #CPG and #retail industry to advance #diversity and #inclusion within the workplace. The pledge outlines a specific set of actions CEOs will take to cultivate a trusting environment where courageous conversations about ways to create inclusive cultures truly are welcomed. Some of these actions are: educate employees about the negative impact of bias on retention, development, and advancement of women; Institute a diverse slating process committed to always selecting the best talent; and requiring 50% of those considered to be diverse and to continue to coach and mentor female & diverse employees, while also increasing sponsoring.
