
Women Now Hold 39% of Senior Executive Roles in Europe’s CPG & Retail Industry
At the LEAD Network Annual Conference “We’re All In” in Milan, we unveiled our Gender Diversity Scorecard 2025 — and the results show encouraging, though still gradual, progress toward gender balance in leadership across Europe’s CPG and Retail sectors.
Key findings:
✔️ 39% of senior executive roles now held by women
✔️ Up from 37% in 2023
✔️ A leap from just 25% in 2017
✔️ Retail: 36%
✔️ Manufacturing: leading at 42%
🔎 Our CEO, Allyson Zimmermann, put it powerfully: “Progress is happening, but far too slowly. At the current pace, true gender parity will take 123 years. The message is clear: our industry must accelerate change—not only because it’s the right thing to do, but because inclusive workplaces where everyone belongs drive stronger businesses and healthier societies.”
