First day at LEAD Network | Welcome Allyson Zimmermann!
The moment has arrived! Last year, in November, we announced the arrival of a new CEO to LEAD Network. Today we celebrate the first official day of Allyson Zimmermann as our CEO. Welcome, Allyson!
"The focus on gender equality has been my life's mission, and it's an honor that I can continue this passion through LEAD Network." – said Allyson Zimmermann.
She also added, "I'm excited to join LEAD Network to build upon the success so far and further grow the mission. After having worked with companies across most industries, I'm thrilled to be able to focus more deeply on supporting the Consumer Goods and Retail industry."
Allyson is a recognized DEI expert and frequently speaks on topics such as gender, inclusive leadership, engaging men, unconscious bias, conscious recruitment, intersectionality, sponsorship, and culture change. She has also delivered workshops and master classes while closely working with CEOs and leaders about challenges they may face to create authentic, meaningful change.
In 2020, Allyson was named by Diversity Journal as one of the Women Worth Watching®️ and was shortlisted by the European Diversity Awards for the Diversity Champion of the Year Award in 2022. Having lived and worked in over five countries, Allyson has extensive global experience. As a dual national (Swiss + American), her home is in Zurich, Switzerland. Allyson holds a BA in Communications and German from the University of Minnesota and is also a professional coach.
Sharon Jeske, our outstanding Executive Director, is retiring after ten years at the helm of LEAD Network. We extend our heartfelt thanks to Sharon for her years of service, her unflagging energy, her authentic, inclusive leadership, and her gift for bringing people together. Sharon will remain on board until at least March to help Allyson transition into the new role.
Everyone at LEAD Network is excited about this new era!
